Tammy Nilsson (Owner)(3-5 room) Tammy has been working with Children for 13 years and absolutely loves her career. Tammy has raised two children and now has one grandchild. She was a young mom and now a young Grandma. Most of Tammy's time is spent working in the 3-5 program and loves that age group! Lil’ Bloomers was established in 2008 because Tammy felt like she could offer a very nurturing place for children to learn and grow. Born in Kitimat and moved to the Okanogan in 2002, Tammy has only ever worked with children and can't imagine doing anything else.
Karen Mattioda (Breaks) Karen has worked at Lil’ Bloomres Childcare for three years doing lunch breaks. She was born and raised in Kitimat BC and moved to Kelowna 30 years ago, took ECE at Okanogan College and have ECE Infant Toddler and Special Needs. aren has been working in the field for more than 20 years, has raised two daughters and now has three grandchildren. Karen likes to go to the gym, go biking and camping with husband and grand children.
Marlene Lang (3-5 room and IT room) Marlene was born and raised in Vancouver BC and moved to Kelowna in 1994. She has raised two children who are both married now. Marlene now has a one year old granddaughter, with another on the way! Marlene has worked for Lil’ Bloomers since 2012, studied her ECE online with Pacific Rim and have been working with children for 6 years now. Loves working with children and finds this career very rewarding.
Michaela Macdonald(3-5 program) Michaela has been at Lil’ Bloomers for over a year in the 3-5 program. She is kind hearted, loves children, and enjoys watching them learn and grow. Michaela is known for singing and playing the uke with the children. She chose to work with children because she is still a child at heart, is fun and carefree.
Amy Griffiths (IT room) Amy has been with to company for 6 years, but has been in the field for 20 years. Amy's experience also comes from raising her own four children. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, reading and hiking, as well as spending time with family. She been in the It room for 4 years now and absolutely loves the little ones.
